Beatriz Silveira de Arruda is a PhD student in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Her research is focused on developing non-invasive treatments for pathological tremors. Originally from Brazil, Beatriz earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience from Brown University in the United States. Since 2016, she has been actively involved in neuroengineering research, with a particular interest in the development of low-cost and accessible neurotechnology. In her talk she will also share her personal journey to becoming a researcher in neuroengineering and her passion for developing low-cost and accessible neurotechnology.
