Matteo Lancini is a leading researcher and expert in biomechanics measurement systems at the University of Brescia in Italy. Matteo is a PhD in Applied Mechanics from the University of Brescia, where he developed a measurement system to assess upper limb internal forces in exoskeleton pilots. As the head of the Mechanical and Thermal Measurement Laboratory, Matteo’s work focuses on developing innovative measurement tools to assess human performance in uncontrolled environments, both in sports and rehabilitation settings. In his talk you will discover some of his recent projects which include benchmarking exoskeletons for locomotion, improving crutch usage in patients with mobility impairments, assessing wheelchair propulsion for tennis athletes, and creating wearable devices to enhance training in various sports.
